“The books that the world calls immoral are books that show the world its own shame.”
This is the second book I've read by Flynn, and her first novel. It reads like a first novel: good idea overall, but a little bit clumsy. It was not as engrossing or page-turney as Gone Girl, but still had those creepy, dark elements that I like. Its a bit of a murder mystery, so it has some twists in there too. A nice debut novel, that I wish I read first (before Gone Girl).
