“The books that the world calls immoral are books that show the world its own shame.”
So torn about what rating to give the book. On one hand, parts of the book were laugh-out-loud funny. The story moved along but I was surprised at how long it took me to actually get through. Bridget is mostly concerned with her weight and status with men. The book is great as a lighthearted, easy read. Can't think about it too much (social commentary, writing style, gender relations, etc) or the rating would go down. But I enjoyed the book for what it is. On to the sequel.
