Accurate. A little too accurate.

Call The Midwife: A True Story of the East End in the 1950s - Jennifer Worth

OK really, what was I expecting?  It's a book about midwives.  And birthing.  I should have known that babies were going to be born, and the book would revolve around part of that.  I paid attention in my biology class.  I know where babies come from.  But I wasn't quite expecting for it to be relived in detail.  Such graphic detail.

Aside from the birthing, there were a lot of other really interesting aspects that were discussed.  Tough cases, tough patients, and what life was like in a convent for someone who isn't a nun were all very interesting.  I would definitely read the other books in the series, especially now that I know that it's basically a medical memoir, and maybe won't be so caught off guard next time.
