The Old Man and the Sea - Ernest Hemingway

Its so important, when recommending a book to someone, that you think of the person you're recommending it to. My stepdad gave me this book several years ago because it is one of his favorites. He is a long time fisherman himself. He feels at peace at the water, just sitting in the sun, waiting for fish. This book was made for people like him.

It was not made for me. The old man gets in the boat. He pees off the side. He catches no fish, and he goes home. Lather, rinse, repeat. Maybe I was too young when I read it and maybe it deserves a reread at some point. But I got lost in the marine minutia.
