Buddy Brown contemplates the meaning of Christmas.
Buddy Brown contemplates the meaning of Christmas.

This weekend, I did not get much sleep.  Mostly because I was awakened on Friday, Saturday and Sunday morning to the sound of a power saw.  Across the street, my neighbors erected a giant almost-life-sized nativity scene.  As the weekend progressed, it was adorned with neon lights, and neon pink flamingos (I didn't realize they had flamingos in the manger).  I'm all about the holiday spirit, but the quickest way to turn me into a scrooge is by waking me up early on the weekend.

Because the weather was so nice, we had our windows open a lot too.  Buddy liked to watch the colors and blinking lights.  We are Jewish (yes, Buddy is Jewish too) so we don't do house lights, and I think that's why he's so fascinated.

Happy December!
